The lovely sound of a bolt snapping

Water pump studs?

If so, you can look for a doorman "Help" kit of ford water pump stud bolts,
there are 3 in the kit, but only one of them will be the right one. You might need 2 kits to get 2 long studs.

Yeah I got two sets of those but they seem too big.

Go to a Fastenal store near you with a good stud in hand and show it to them. They can determine it's length, thread pitch, diameter, and strength and then order you exact replacements. That goes for any fastener you ever run into that isn't in a local hardware store.

Is she leaking man ? I didnt think it would hold sans 2 studs.
Getting ready to do mine, 205k mile 99, Timing cover leaking like a sieve, gonna replace the pump while I'm there. :)

Dont think they ever changed the thread size of these tiny studs, I think they are 5/16-18".
Corrosion build up inside the timing cover ? I like to give the timing cover a little ream with the right drill bit if the deep holes are real ugly.

ARP...if you know the size of the threads, find an application that may work....

Their 2011 Catalog is here:
http://video.arp-bolts.com/catalog/ARPCatalog.pdf
Right click, and save this link, its WAY faster than browsing the catalog IN your browser...

I think the closest option is the Carb studs on page 55......they are 5/16" in various lengths, unless they are 3/8"...then that requires more research.

Well it was leaking before, that's the whole reason I wanted to replace it. It's probably leaking more now.

Here are pics of carnage if anyone is interested :D You can see the two broken studs on the left and right ends. I was able to extract the one on the left but not on the right. I ended up cutting it off flush.

Also, the bolt kit posted above does not include all the bolt sizes. These two bolts have regular heads and are about 3" long and none of those bolts in the kit will work.
