We're dying without pictures!

haha I havnt had a chance to get any yet. its sitting in the porsche deal garage right now. only the best body guys are touching it. if they can't fix it or it cost too much ill be getting a all black 2004 explorer limited with a 4.6 leather and all the options. so worst comes to worst ill be getting a explorer with 29xxx miles and dump the mountaineer with 89xxx miles.

sorry still no pics. I went to get some military stuff out of my mountaineer today. the guys at the porsche dealership left my windows open and unlocked. wtf my system is a down payment on a porsche. also battery dead so there is 2 optimas dead but its ok cuz someone left my interior lights on. they are saying my alternator is bad also.

sounds like a bunch of idiots lol...

I know right and I figured they would be top of the line at a porsche dealership

ok so the mountaineer survived. the guy that did the estimate said if the truck was 2 inches lower it would have been totalled. once again thank you roadbully!!!!!!
total cost in damage to fix just over 5800.
both drivers doors, the cladding, running board and all the mounts, body getting straightened out and o
mounts for the running board getting welded and crap.
mechanical, brake lines, e brake cable, rear toe links both sides, one wheel, one wheel hub assembly, new tire.
no frame damage whatsoever even tho that's what he hit mostly.
its a nice little list. but im getting her back. I can't wait to go to the iland this summer

Aren't you glad that when Ford set out to design the 3rd gen explorer they made the frame 300% stronger and fully boxed it for additional strength?:D

oh yes I am haha it stopped a 2800 car from leaving tristed frame only about 4 scratches on it. looks like I gotta re rhino line it now. I wish the brakes where ran on the inside of the frame tho. they got cut right in half. im gonna get a piece of steel tube and cover the brake lines that way its really honda proof. I could be driving right now if the brake lines weren't on the outside

thats actually not a bad idea...

just make it so all you have to do is drill a few holes and bolt it on !...

really good idea !!!!!!!!!

im planing on putting a hinge on the top or something then 2 bolts down bottom. im ether gonna use a pipe like 1/4 inch with I already have or a L piece of steal. that's a cheap mod right there that takes some time haha

this is great news. I am glad to hear that you will be getting your truck back. I just went trought this with mine and it came with in $150.00 of getting totaled. It cost $5,500 in repairs. Do you have pics of the accident yet?

not yet havnt had a change to get up there. im stuck in my house cuz the slk350 doesn't go anywhere in snow or ice. hell it slides right out in rain haha. but they call me today and said if I can come down tomarrow they wanna go over a few things

the mountaineer will be fixed mechanically by friday latest. as for body work once they get all the parts in it will be fixed

thanks chris! there not the best pics but it was parked like a foot away from a brand new porsche gt3 so. ill get a few more once I get it out of the shop. hopefully to will be drivable before I leave

well mountaineer will be coming out of the shop monday... my brother is sending pics once he picks it up for me. from what they told me they took out every scratch on the truck, replaced the rear toe links, and my upper ball joints on the drivers side plus the body and brake work all on the insurances tab.
