Hey Y'all This is my 97 Mercury Mountaineer, Dubbed "THE MUTINEER."

Since noone makes a lift kit for this truck for under 1000 bucks, I have customozed a 91-94 Expy 3" body lift for it and now I am saving up for the 4 inch trailmaster kit. I also have installed shackle lift in the rear and a hi-lift jack to the rack since the picture.

Thats my Boy in front, he has to be in all my "after the lift" pics.

I rescued this awesome 5.0 powered truck from the graveyard of Soccer games and ballet rehearsals, (bought it for my wife 3 years ago and now she has a new vehicle) and am in the process of turning her into a badass trail vehicle. I dont want to go too extreme, as this is my daily driver, but she will be nice.

I am fabbing up the bumpers as you read, more pictures to come. I am so glad there are other Explorer enthusiasts like me around.

I want to see what the people on this site are all about before I join the ELITE EXPLORER option.

Thanks!

very nice...what size tires?

Nice rig. I've got the Trailmaster kit and so does Ray Lobato (moderator). Anyone else with a real suspension lift more than likely has the superlift kit.

33X12.5X15.

Had to trim the fenders alittle, but thats OK. I am going to put fiberglass BAJA fenders on it soon.

Thanks, Yall, her maiden voyage into the rough went awesome, didnt even have to use the Hi Lift

THANKS!!

The Trailmaster lift is availiable througha dealer in my Home town, si I'll probably go with that.

How do Y'all like the Trailmaster lift? Superlift?

I have used superlift before, it was worth the extra money, but Ill probably go with trailmaster this time....
