the never ending clunk

Ok it doesn;t really matter if they are bolted upside or downside, but the problem I found with the polys is they don;t compress well. So in certain weather conditions you will see that clunk.

I had polys on mine and every time I used my ac or really hot conditions the clunk would return and it was because the bushing was getting warped from water dripping on it from the ac compressor.

I strongly suggest getting the ford ones because they worked for you this long, and I just put them in mine and so far no clunk. Again they have plastic covering over the bushing so its protected.

Btw here are the part #s

2L2Z-5K483-BA Link $2.52 Each
F77Z-5495-BA Stud $4.58 Each
F77z-5C491-BA Nut $3.15

Hey so for $20.50 your in business for another 1 year or more and no clunk.:D

I'll tell you what got rid of my clunk.
Look at the pic of your sway bar end. See the rubber boot on the tie rod?
I slid back the clamp and used an ice pick to push in between the boot & rao so I could get the WD-40 spray tube under the boot. Sprayed for about 30 sec. and buttened it all back up. Do both sides. Clunk is gone.
I found this after a long search for the work clunk.
Its worked for others & worked for me.
Good luck....

Ever figure it out? If not, check the transmission crossmember bolts, mine were loose and it got rid of that clunk.
