I was looking through the new Dupont Registry that my mom's friend got me for my b-day last week. I found an ad for this company: www.Terminator427.com , they modify H2's for the street and offroad.

Rick, you and Char need a new toy, how about this version (you can still have this package built for offroading lol) :
An Terminator 700 H2, twin turbo 408 w/ 700hp and 700lb-tq with 0-60 in under 5 seconds in a friggen H2

This H2 was built by FST for motorcyle builder Rodger Bourgette. They added all sorts of cool stuff, like custom motorized rock sliders that fold down when the door is open.

Oh and those aren't fake beadlocks on this one. They are original H2 wheels that have been modified to accept beadlocks.

what type of engine does that H2 have Rick? is is S/C?

They cut off the outer bead area of the stock wheel and weld on a new flange with the beadlock bolt holes.

Not sure which brand of Supercharger that is, but it's the original H2 V-8.

Nope, not joking. I was certain I was going to get a new Superduty and install a full Banks performance package and propane, but this also would do nicely.

Is it because it's a GM machine that you don't like it? And with 700 hp and 0-60 in 4.9 seconds it doesn't need a diesel.

Also, you seem to forget that the Explorer is the most mass-produced SUV out there.

Just to let you know, my friend gets 8mpg combined mileage with his stock V-8 H2. He almost cried when he spent $400 in gas to go snowmobiling in Michigan. He lives in Northern Illinois, it's not that far.

I would wait until they add the Duramax as an option.

If you put a built 427 in there you would be looking at about 4mpg.

Sleeper or no sleeper.......it is still butt ugly!! And the guy that you beat of the line will always go away knowing that his vehicle is a helluva lot better looking than yours.

Then again, if you are spending $50k ($49,500 to be exact) on an egine upgrade, gas price isn't going to be a worry. It's all relative.

An H2 with this power and all the other goodies (gotta mod it all!) is easily going to total $130,000 or more.

At least the $50k includes installation... all 12 weeks of it!

Yep, my buds gets about 8mpg, he has a Flowmaster exhaust thats dumped with offroad tires on the KMC fake beadlock rims. He lives in NJ, schools out, so he had to drive from here in Boca Raton (South Florida) all the way back to NJ. You don't want to know how many times he had to fill up and what it cost to get back home, it barely gets 10mpg on the highway lol. But man, it sounds wicked as hell with the dumped Flowmaster exhaust, when I parked next to him our Mountaineer was vibrating and shook when he gave it gas. There were 11 H2's at my school by the end of this semester, but the rest were driven either by prissy 20yr old girls that wouldn't dare park their H2 in the offroad lot or thugger wannabe's trying to roll out

Doc - I think you need to get the Terminator 700, could you imagine the mileage that thing gets , but it'd be so worth it for 1mpg You and I could take it on the Gumball rally, wouldn't that be funny pulling away from Porsche's and Ferrari's lol. There was a modified Avalanche there this year.
