Thinking of getting an explorer (Q's inside)

Hi everyone, I'm new to this board. I don't own an explorer yet, But I'm about to close a deal within two days on a 99 XLT (4WD) (SOHC Engine ), Power everything w/ sunroof and running boards , It only has 63k miles with 7 yr/100k miles extended warranty when it was new ,for $11,800.
Just want to know if thats a good deal and also what are the pros and cons of that year explorer?.. This will not be my first ford as I currently have an 02 Mustang GT which I love. Thanks for any help on this.
