I have had this humming noise from the front end that starts at about 50 and increases with speed.

I have changed:
rotors (they were on the way out)
wheel bearings. (shot as well)
pads. (were ok but since I got new rotors i figured new pads would be nice)
pass side caliper (it was sticking a little)

Everything is adjusted correctly and everything has been replaced so I'm at a loss.
Its not as loud as it was but its still there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The humming sound goes kinda like mmm,,,,mmm,,,mmm but really fast.

Any body have any ideas I'm about to throw a brick at it????

bigger stereo system???
check the tires out for and "choppyness" some times an uneven wear will cause humming at certain speed, or even and imbalance

Sorry forgot to add that in new tires 6 month ago

Oh and just to add ball joints upper control arms and shocks replaced 19 months ago.

Rotate the tires and see if it goes away, if it dose have alignment checked.

The whole front end was shot EVERYTHING! I replaced it at the same time and got a alignment but that was over a year ago no in a rush to do that again.

What I was referring to is that a '91 doesnt have upper control arms, its TTB.

Oh sorry typo its a 97. there is a 91 explorer sport???

I have a four wheel drive that has a front differential and had the same issue and it was the front differential gears. But yours is a two wheel drive with no front differential. Maybe it's your rear differential and sounds like the humming is coming from the front.Check your rear end oil. It's not your wheel bearings.

Do you have offroad tires? They will do that.
