how do thornbirds compare to a bogger of the same size as far as road noise goes?

Im aware thornies are $hit tires but i have some laying around so im planning on throwing them on the truck.

How are they as far as throwing mud and getting clogged?

thanks

From what I've read and seen, Thornbirds pretty much suck EVERYWHERE. I assume the Thorturds would be much quieter than Boggers though.

get boggers -- boggers will outperform a thorny even standing still, well pretty close anyways

both are pretty loud (i have heard both on several different trucks) and the thonbirds suck in every aspect except cool looks

if you are worried about road noise, get an all terrain and dont wheel... seriously..... the thornys and the bogs are noisy.....

When new, the Thornbirds are only kinda loud. As they wear, they get really loud. The last set i rode around in were louder than the TSL/sx's i had at the time. The thornbirds will not throw mud too bad since they cant get ahold of it in the first place. Boggers are really bad on the street and you'll be lucky to get 8-10k miles out of them.

yea im planning on getting some mud terrains closer to christmas so the thornies will be temporary. I dont do much wheelin, just daily driven mostly so it would be a waste for me to get boggers especially because these thornies are free.

I hate thornbirds. They are the worse tire ever made (in my opinion). But if they are free and your getting something new soon -- go ahead and take them. Get some Baja Claws or something. Or some Dirt Grips. I want to get some Dirt Grips next!

I really liked the Thornbirds offroad, though I never compared them to a Bogger. I did a ton of mudding though, and never got stuck, so they really treated me well and offroad, I was very happy with them.

The road noise on the other hand was absolutely AWFUL with them.

I have them on mine right now and hate them. They really suck in the rain

one night things got a little crazy, anda guy with a pretty nice 87' f-150 tried to pull me out, running 35" thornys, he couldnt do jack, didnt even budge me, he almost got stuck in some wet ground, not even very muddy. The next day my dad came with his 99' f-250 diesel with 31" bfg all-terrains amd pulled me out in 2wd, never even spun, he was pulling from the same spot, with almost same ground conditions. You tell me who rules the mud, although the thronys look pretty badass. :D BTW: you should get x-terrains, they are amazing.
