ohhh ahhh, i want i want. how much did they end up costing you? Should they fit a 96? I think the shocks are the same but i don't know for sure. What should i search for to find them? I can't find them...

They don't make them anymore. You can't find them because they're hard to find. BM got lucky.

Yes we know!

Someone help me find some good (non-expensive like not much more than 200 a set :) ) shocks for my ex... i've been looking for months... even if i sold it, the shocks are so bad it'd probably make the person not want it after a test drive.... everytime I find shocks i would be interested in (Bell tech, nitro slammers, toxic drop shocks, any type of sport/drop shocks) i can't find any applications for explorer. They always have ranger shocks, but I don't know if rangers and explorers have the same shocks?? help me find some stuff online :) :)

Hey Psychotic, if you haven't bought any shocks yet, just save beating your head against the wall about this and go to www.truckperformance.com and buy a set of Edelbrock Shocks for lowered Explorers. They are $70 each, and offer the best all around handling performance/comfort and for the price you can't go wrong, man! Trust me, look no further, do it, end the madness! :D

I have the Speed Line Magnesium 18" wheels
w/ Bilstein Shocks

I always liked Gabrial for a very good inexpensive shock.

Are the Gabrial shocks you are refering to are for lowered X's like yours?

I lowered mine all around 2" and desperately looking for new shocks without spending $75 for IAS. I know they supposedly the best but I guess I could settle for second best for less money.

Thanks for the help...

i had the Gabriel VST's on my lowered truck. first set lasted a month, second set lasted about 3 weeks. i know alot of people love them, but i wont ever buy any again.

Man, that's good to know.

So what do you currently have now? For the front & back?
