Ok guys I have been thinking about rebuilding the rear end in my wifes 05. It has 78,000 miles on it and it has the wonderful rear end whine. I have seen where ford has fixed the rear end 2 and 3 times in the same truck for the problem to only to come back. Has anybody come up with a fix for this for the long term. I am all for paying top dollar to make it right because the truck is just so damn nice and drives so well. So will new bearings rear and pinion and a clutch pack with the correct fluid last for a long time or is this something thats going to happen all over again after 10 ro 15 thousand miles? I am in Houston if anybody knows of a good shop that will take care of me. I am talking to slaters mustangs and BJ ford for prices so far. Tell me what you think dudes!

This is the only forum ever that I have never gotten a response. What a joke. Well I am going to have the TSB performed on the truck on Thursday. We will see if this helps. What a lame ass forum. :thumbdwn:

my lame a$s reply would have to been call around shops and see what they charge. but you figured that out yourself. Or you could have used the search button? Dont know what you could have asked that hasnt been covered before.

where i got mine done it cost 100$ ( my deductable for my extended warrenty, or it would have been like 1100$) . :)

What the TSB is all about is a re designed ring and pinion gear and thicker fluid.

Havent heard of being done 2 or three times, maybe you know something us lame ass's dont ? :salute:. Cant see how the new style cut gears would go out again.

You keep talking like that in your posts and chances are people are going to tell you to get fvcked when you ask a ?.

good luck non the less and keep us updated.

hahaha wow, your lucky to get any help after talking to people like that man, we remember. the fact is, we get tired of answering the same 10-15 questions 2-3 times a week, because you guys are to lazy to use the search function. but i guess that makes us a bunch of lameasses. Heres how this goes, when you replace the faulty ring and pinion, the problem goes away.. if its still there, you have a bigger issue. if a whining sound is worth 1100-1500 bucks to you, go for it bud.

lol I knew a little **** talkin would get you dick heads to speak up. sticks and stones. ;)

other than your **** talking is against forum policys, and if you keep it up you will get a talkin to from an admin, and eventualy a ban.. plus. you wont get any help from me anymore(and ive worked on these rigs more than most), simply because of that last Ignorant comment, you neednt respond to me again. im removing my subscription to this thread.

have a good day.

A talking to huh. I don't think I like the sound of that. Ignornat comment maybe, but it got you to speak up didn't it. I think its funny. I had already found the TSB and understood it and have a little knowledge of how basic things like rearends work seeing how I have built many late model mustangs. I just wanted some input from the PROS on this badass forum you have going here. But I didn't get that until i pissed someone off. I did use the search too and felt like I wanted more comments and opinions. But thats cool your correct I did figure it out on my own, no thanks to any of you. You have a great day yourself too sir.

cant see how my post wasnt helpful? IF you would have waitied a day/ not talked **** you would have gotten a response. But you act like this forum has someone on it every 10 minutes waiting for a new post to reply too.

I dont know about you man, you sound like a real know it all #####.

Good luck getting your explorer fixed up. I am sure you will post back with a update.

(If you dont post back in a day i will talk $hit wondering why you havent responded as like you, saying you are lame for not posting back with in a certain time limit)

please define your meaning of "built late model mustangs"
.

I knew you would respond again. lol I am done here. Thanks again you have a blessed day sir

Be sure to replace the ring & pinion with one from Ford Racing, much cheaper then from the Ford Dealer. Also, be sure to use Timken bearings if you can and use a top quality synthetic 75w140 w/LS additive if you have LSD.

I don't think that this individual will be missed. No spelling or grammar skills, no social graces, and a sense of entitlement and expectation of service on a volunteer site. A spoiled child, no doubt.

The good news is we won't miss him or be lessened for his absence.

The better news is that 99.999% of you people on this site are great!
