Lol, apparently Airraid makes ones pre-drilled, though they only mentioned producing them for their "sport-compact" market segment. Right now I'm working with a limited budget and would like to get the best bang for my buck (lame internal combustion pun? You can decide for yourself, lol).
I've already got plans for exhaust and CAI first, and after that I'm probably gonna go with a bigger TB and upper plenum from Trick Flow. I've also been considering an underdrive pulley setup. That, along with a lift comprised of RB spacers and body lift, and bigger tires. My holy grail right now would be to find a wrecked Mustang GT in a local U-pull-it yard and scavenge the heads and everything to adapt my engine (stupid modular 4.6L engines, can't they all just be the same?) to get the better stock HP and larger performance accessory options. I had a crazy idea to try to fit a 5.4 from an Expedition, and while I guess technically it COULD be done, my X is my daily driver and I don't really have the time or money for an undertaking like that.
If a TBS offers some benefit, I'm willing to find another $120 or so to invest in that, but I'm the kind that researches and considers my options before forking over greenbacks.
Opinions/suggestions on my ideas? And mods, if you'd rather me not hijack this ancient thread and start my own, that's no prob.
