yes it is pricey but it is a good performance and fuel economy mod. i say get it.

yeah i think i am goin to get it, im ordering a kkm intake as well, i want really crisp throttle response. i read a thread somewhere on her about an aftermarket crank pulley and is supposedly upped the performance a bit would anyone have any experience awith this and is it worth it?

the kkm is a good idea only with a free flowing exhaust though i don know about the pulley though

TB spacers are a waste of time

^x2.

Thank god someone else posted it in time. TB spacers are waste of money, time, and work. For our engines they don't do anything.

From what I've read here tb spacers really don't do much. Search the forums a little and you'll see what I mean.
Intake and exhaust will help, and the pulley will help to. These are all good ideas to start with.

Edit: Both of you beat me, that's what happens when you get up before hitting the post button

There are intakes that are far superior to a KKM. Take a look at a Mac for example.

My .02? I have been modifying engines for 15 years, the TB spacer is not a good use of your precious hop-up money. Get an underdriven pulley, headers, free flowing exhaust, remove the engine driven fan and install an electric, free flowing cold air intake... (not necessarily in that order mind you)

You will feel the difference and most likely get a nice increase in mileage too.

thanks guys i was kinda scepitcal about the Tb and now i know its not woth the time.
i have headers and stuff lined up. but what do you mean by a free flowing exhuast? like without a catalytic converter?

No, you have to keep the catalytic converters on these babies, they were designed to run with them. He meant a less-restrictive system that uses larger diameter, mandrel bent tubing, like a good cat-back system with a performance muffler.

ya i was going to get a throttle body spacer and i did some research and it most likely is a waste of time. For exhaust get a Flowmaster 40 with 2.5in piping. That is what i am hopefully getting next week. My Catalytic converters are leaking so while the mechanic is down here i matters well get new everything:thumbsup:;)

yeah i was eyeing a flowmaster 40 down at my local autozone. i know a guy that runes a that with a glasspack on top of that on a 4.3L and it sounds beefy as hell. how come the engine doesnt like to run without a catalytic converter?

not sure but our cats have O2 sensors that adjust fuel mixtures and regulate how it runs. Because my Cats leak my O2's think my engine is running lean and it it has an abnormally rough idle. Question, How much would a complete exhaust cast with cats and Flowmaster 40 with 2.5in piping?

would there be any way to re locate the o2 sensor, the oly reason im adimant on not having a catalytic converter is it makes my car sound like a vaccum.

ya i really dont know but have you checked yours for leaks because i can hear mine when i go in a tunnel and it sounds like a vaccum. Just hearing the exhaust escaping out my cat makes that sound though, you might have the same problem.
