this is a really weird problem that ive never noticed before, seems that when im roughly at 40% or more throttle the vents cut out, but the blower is still running. as soon as im back off the throttle the vents come back on.

Ive searched through the forum but this seems rather unheard of looks like, and ive never heard of anything like it myself.

any ideas?

TIA

You may have a vacuum issue. Check to see where the air goes when the vents stop.(i.e. if it switches to defrost or floor etc.) The blend door is vacuum controlled and if there is a bad vacuum line in the HVAC circuit or the vacuum switch itself that could be causing your problem. Vacuum pressure changes with engine RPM so this might be something to check into.

Most cars/trucks have a WOT AC cutoff relay. Disengages the compressor when the engine needs power. Like when you go WOT(Wide Open Throttle)
