hey guys, I'm getting ready to replace a clutch in my 91 explorer sport 4.0L 5spd and was wondering if anyone had any advice or helpful info they could throw my way before attempting it. I've changed 2 clutches in the past, one was on an old beat up F-150, and another on a 84 chevy s-10. I just started looking around on the net for helpful information about explorers tonight.
I'm also wondering if it is worth it to buy one of the high performance clutch kits that cost about $350 from the parts store? or just go with one of the regular oem match up ones? My truck does have a 3 inch lift with 32 inch tires.. I occasionally take it off-road but mostly it sees more pavement than anything.
Any suggestions or tips would be great, thanks.
