Timing Chain

Hello everyone, I am new to site and in deperate need of assistance. I have a 1998 xlt 4.0 liter V6 and I am having major problems with my baby. There was a loud ticking noise in the front end of the vehicle which i found to be the broken timing chain guide ( recalled item), I would like any help or a diagram which will be of great assistance.

Not quite sure what you are looking for, but I'd recomend picking up a Chiltons or Hanes repair manual.

take in to be fixed under recall there are peices of plastic floating around the motor right now and this is a very bad thing i would change the oil immediatly and get it repaired asap

it all depends on what engine you have...
the recall affects you if you have the SOHC engine.
