timing chain rattle was not timing chain rattle

strangley enough, after my water pump change, I do not hear what I thought was the timing chain rattle anymore.

could the noise have been from the water pump?

I used to hear the rattle all the time...but now I think I heard a faint rattle once in the 5 days since water pump was changed

There are numerous things that rotate when the engine runs that can make noise. One trick to help isolate engine noise from accessory noise is to remove the serpentine belt and cold start the engine and let is run for a minute or so.

yes...I am praising the Lord...if I can remove one thing on my to-do list for the XSport01...I am very happy

I was sure it was timing chain...as it happened between 2-3k

if it returns, I will post about it
