Tinting my Taillights

espnfreak- I thought I read in another post you were waiting on some carbon fiber tails...did you give up on 'em?

No problems with police. Cops around here are pretty lenient around here. Below is a pic of mine in case others want to see.

drool that pic makes me what to do it, since i know the carbon fiber altezzas will never come out for our 95-97s

I like that look... my Ex is midnight blue, and I think that'd look awesome with it done like that. So the lights light up like it's not even there huh?? Just like stock?

I just went out in my completely black garage and took this pic. As you can see, the tint does not effect the brightness of the light at all.

Mine look like his, no trouble at all from cops, I think since you can still see the lights fine they don't care.

I think I have another weekend project ahead.... :D

What if I don't like it after I do it? How can I get it off?

i'll try to get pix up. i don't have a digicam. mine look like hartmans except the bottom part is still clear. i would also like altezzas, but clearlights.com is a bunch of bullshitters. i would really be surprised if us 95-97's get our tails.

i don't know how to get it off :) . I messed up on my 3rd light, and then tried to gently wipe it off with some acetone, and that still made the plastic all hazy. I had to sand down my 3rd light and retint it. I guess maybe you could sand it off, and then go over it with clear coat to get it shiny again. Other than that, I don't know.
