tire fit for 2001 x sport

yes i have a 2001 ford explorer sport. i currently have the stock 15x7 wheels with the 235 75 15 tires. i was wanting to go w/ some american racing python wheels either 15x8 or 16x8 and i was just curious what would be the biggest tire i could fit w/o any rubbing and w/o making any modifications? im looking at the bf all terrain thanks.

I too have a 2001 Explorer Sport 4x4. I have done a lot to mine, Lowered, 20"s, Audio/Video system, some performance stuff and a bunch other stuff.
I am not sure of the biggest tires you can fit. I would do a Dead Link Removed for it and there is lots of information out there.
