Tire Pressure!?

Wellll..... Results are IN!!

So Ive had my 2003 explorer xlt sport for 2 months now and I saved my gas reciepts for 2 months and figured out my MPG on the weekend which my average around 12 MPG. I happened to check my tire pressures after reading this post, My truck has 255/75R/16 The door jam says 30, Both fronts were at 20 PSI and the rears were around 22 PSI, I just pumped them all up to 32 PSI, Truck actually seems to ride nicer too hopefully gas mileage increases a tad!!

Dave

Since filling up the tires from 20 PSI to 32 PSI my Ride was gotten better and so has the fuel mileage Normally with my every day city/highway mix I'm good for 2 weeks on a tank and at 300 Kilometers ( 187.5 Miles) ( this is the point were my low fuel light comes on) I'm now at 334 Kilometers ( 208.75 miles)
and the light hasnt come on yet. mind you its right on empty so any minute shes going to come on.. BUT STILL this is city mix driveing with an air temperature of bewteen 20-24 F outside were fuel mileage is worse anyhow and i'm still getting better mileage

Man I cant wait till the summer now pumping these suckers up to 36 PSI for road trips and seeing what kind of mileage i can get.

No complaints though love the truck eaither or.

Dave
