ok, after the tire recall my mom had my x before me and i have no clue what the pressure sould be in them. its not on the tire. they are michlin ltx a/t

its in your owners manual and on the inside of the drivers door.
assuming that they are p235 75 r15 then 35psi is general. higher for better mileage but faster wear on th emiddle and lower for smother ride and potential wear on the sides. its good to find what comfortable and ecconomical. Off Road had an article a month or 2 ago about finding the right pressure. its suggested that you might end up with different pressure per tire as the weight distribution will make the tires squat differnetly under heavier loads. its ideal to have a clean even contact patch accross bottom so that th etire wears evenly. i run my 32's a little high at 33 front and 35 in rear. they seem to be earing evenly.

yeah, it is in the door but it is for the stock tiers, the firestones. these are michalin

shouldnt be too different. the michelin are a much better tire all the way around.

Ford changed their rating to all stock tires are recommended to be filled to 30 PSI. The 16" tires were already rated to 30 PSI, only the 15" tires were originally rated for 26 PSI. After the Firestone issue, Ford started recommending 30 PSI for all tires. There is no official recommended pressure for other than stock size tires since they aren't officially recommended. If your tires are a different brand but the same size as stock, 30 PSI is a good place to start. If you have different sized tires now or just want to be certain you are at the best pressure do a search for "chalk test" you will find a very good procedure for determining the best pressure to run in your tires.

My handbook states 31psi but its UK spec with
Goodyear Wrangler ap 255x70x16 as factory fit tyres.

I run mine at 30 PSI all the way around. Anything lower and I notice some squeal going around turns.

The tire pressure is based on tire size and vehicle weight, the brandof tire doesnt have a whole lot to do with it.

There is a proceedure called "the chalk test" that will tell you the exact tire pressure that is right for you, regardless of tire size, brand, vehicle, this is the best way to find the right pressure.....
