Tire Question

Costco suggested the Michelin Defender, 70,000 mile tire over the Latitude Tour HP, 55,000 mile tire which is currently on my vehicle. I heard the Defender has a firmer ride. The thing I love about my Explorer is the ride (versus my husband's jeep). Any thoughts on which tire I should get?
