I just Bought a '99 Explorer XLT V8 AWD. My old 4x4 was a 1989 full size bronco with 3inch lift and 33inch BFG all terrains. I love my new explorer but the stock tire size is quite wimpy. Without changing the stock rims, which I really do like, or adding a lift kit, does anybody have any suggestions for BIGGER tires and what brand???

Thanks,
Frank

I should really tell you to use the search function...But most people can fit 31's quite easily....oh yeah use the search function :D

Brandon's right, 31s are the biggest you can go without any lift, and they may even rub without lift. For $50 though you can get 2" lift and for sure fit those 31s and possibly fit 32s with trimming.

There are many threads on this topic, hunt around the board a little. Also look into "torsion twist" "add a leaf" and "warrior shackles" for small suspension lift options.

And welcome to the greatest Explorer site on the web!
