I'm so sick and tired that the 95-97 explorers dont have any taillight options. im going to do something about this, i am going to change my taillights so they will be different, i have a few things i am thinking of, anyone else sick and tired of it too? i dont even want to bother going to apc to try to get them to produce our taillights, its useless, i will do it myself....somehow...it can be done

for a street truck you could copy the hot rods or chebbie trucks and fill in the factory location and go to one of the billet lamp assemblies or french them into the rear hatch or rollpan.

lotsa bodywork, lotsa paint, lotsa bucks.

they make blackout kits. thats about it. well explorer express have clear tails if that is what your refering too. but other then that i dont know what to tell ya. i think im going to do the hot rod thing and put some "blue-dots" on my tail lights. they look good on all cars ive seen em on. never seen em on an explorer.

mike what is this blue dot thing you talk of

ok on old hot rods, when you look at some of them from a distance the tail lights look blueish purple. when you get closer they look more red and you can see the plastic blue circle that is glued in the center of the tail light.

sounds like it would look sweet

yeh i want to look into it more.

Why not paint a design on them? Like a picture of a bug or something?

ehhh i dont think it would be as affective. ill probably just end up getting blackouts.

you can get blue dots from J.C. Whiteny... you drill a 1/2" hole in the lens and snap it in... i only think it looks right on the retro rods... and it can make the lens prone to crack.

ive never seen em on anything except a rob and they are cheap. so i thought i would try it out.
