Tires are rubbing after some modifications.

hey guys iv got a 2000 explorer..with 31x11x15 thornbirds under it..iv added shackles to the back and adjusted the torsion bars up but still have the tries rubbing the sway bar..can i get a lift kit for this ride, and wich ones the best if i can.

if it's rubbing on the sway bar that means that the tires are to wide for the application. are you on the stock rims? or are you on 15X10s? if you have stock rims, you'll need to use spacers to push the rims out farther. there is a thread on here all about spacers and what ones are best.

so since i dont use the unit a hole lot on road i really dont need the front sway bar..i put the tires on my stock wheels,.the sway bars is all they rub...think i should throw a spacers or body lift on it or just take the sway bar off?
 












yeah a body lift wont correct the rubbing. Either new wheels with different backspacing or wheel spacers will fix this. Removing the swaybars make them a little iffy on road, but some people do it.
