to cat or not to cat that is the question

i have read through the forum several times and it seems like everyone is ify on a cat on the first gen x's. my main concern is gas milage i dont have to worry about emissons and i am either putting a ravin of a flowmaster. most likely a ravin since it supposedly flows better for just a bit more money so the sound is covered. if i will for sure get better gas mileage without the cat then they are gone or vise versa.

You do have to worry about emissions because it's a federal law that the converters are required, and your gas mileage will not improve by removing them.
