Today is the day.

I haven't sorted out the parking brake yet. I'll try and get that done this morning.

Well the bolt on the passenger side very front mount wont come out. It looks like its been wedged in because of the accident it was in long ago. Ongoing to go buy a long pry bar to see if I can beatit out.

Any more progress? need maymore advice?

I encountered so many problems, but it is lifted. Tomorrow I need to remove some of the body bolts and apply loctite then I need to work on the bumpers and get those mounted, connect the steering and and attach some stuff and put my seats back in, oh and mount the parking brake bracket. Hopefully using my jacks I can do the rest by myself because I don't have a helper tomorrow. The body mount on the passenger side kick panel disintegrated so I'm going to run by the dealer in the morning and see if I can get a replacement. It's been an ordeal, one thing after another but I may finally have it wrapped up tomorrow and be able to drive to work, I have take the day off tomorrow to finish up. Can't belive I'm going on day three :(

so those s.o.b. body mount bolts that everyone talks about have to be removed?

I spent about a week on mine but it was 98+ degrees out and only had hand tools, mostly by myself until I talked my buddy into helping me with the body bolts. Get ready for disappointment about the body bushings, as far as I know they only sell them in a complete set.

Tmac, yea they need to be replaced with longer bolts that come with the kit.

so if i needed to replace the bushings, now would be the time to do it? or will the longer bolts be less of a PITA after the body lift so i could maybe do it later?

I would do it all at the same time. Wish I did. I didn't need to do it at the time but I know the time will come and I'm am regretting that day.

Yeah, do them all at the same time.

Yeah, do them all at the same time.

...if you can afford it.

That's why I didn't do it when I did the body lift and why I still haven't done it. Mine are still good enough but they will need replacing eventually. Especially since I'm slowly replacing everything that will go bad (even though these never should).

It is also hot here, I'm in Miami remember? The first day it rained a lot and was humid as hell, yesterday was just hot. I look like hell and my left hand (I'm a lefty) is tore up, lots of skin missing and its throbbing. Hopefully I wrap this up today.

Some proof of job in progress. I have many more but no time to upload them, I havent even shaved since saturday morning. My tires look small now.

Looks good man, keep up the good work, it'll be worth it in the end. Make sure to space the bed back enough, about an inch and a half I think IIRC, it should line back up with the side cladding and bumper. Now to cut and trim the front bumper cover, actual bumper and rear frame ends. Lol.

Woohoo, can't to do a bunch of cutting. I just notice that when the radiator raised upit grabbed one side of the shroud and its holding on tight, have to figure out how to get that loose. A big rain storm just rolled in so I'm sitting around waiting for it to blow over.

The first yellow lifted ST that I know of. It took me three days to complete mine. You'll see how worth it it all is that first time you drive and an can actually feel how much higher you're sitting.

There's other lifted yellow ST's out there, I have pictures of a couple. Did you fix the problem with the rad support and fan shroud?

Yes, I had to drill out the hole a bit longer on the bracket where the rubber pads go.

I"m driving it again. I don't have a front bumper or parking brake but at least I can go to work. I will finish up on Saturday. It feels weird driving it and my 32s look tiny. I definitely have an even better view over the other vehicles.

 Gotta feel big :D haha cant wait for mine. yours is looking great Pup.
..but about the body mounts, i think ill wait.. i dont have money right now and they arent in horrible position yet.

We're pretty lucky in the south. I think they've lasted a little longer because of the climate.

Man this looks like its a PITA. I may need to pay someone to help me if i ever do this...

Yeah, it is a pain in the butt. I ran into many issues. However, it was a great learning experience and now when I have to do jobs that take a few hours I wont complain. I was always worried about the day my clutch goes out because I've never pulled a transmission before or changed a clutch, now that job sounds like it isnt going to be a big deal in comparision to that lift. Like your sig says, "learn by doing".
