In February I was going past the local Ford Dealer and saw this 2 door green Explorer (I was in a bus for school so i could easily see it). The night after that me and my dad went there to take a look! It was practcally my dream car. I really didn't like the shade of green it was. The next monday me and my dad went to pick it up! I was thrilled to death since it is my first car, even though i still have my permit(stupid PA laws!). Well since then all my income(very little) has been going to pay for it. Along the way i have done some cheapy things to it. Ventvisors, 3 rolls of wal-mart tint, and a 3rd brake light cover(its pretty cool). Nothing real major. Until now.
Ever since i got it i had put in a pretty new Kenwood cd player that was just "laying" around the garage. I had known for a while about it having a factory amp but the guy at the local audio shop said itz not good on my HU. Well.....I broke down and bought the amp by-pass. After I took about 2 evenings tearing the seats, and the massive panel in the rear out i found out that the by-pass didn't work(There's a thread somewhere around here about it) So, I broke out the wire clippers and Souder gun and got it together, in the end I had to run new speaker wire, but it was and experience.
I figured since i have everything ripped apart i might as well put in new speakers. So i got 4 new ones from wal-mart and put them in. They sounded ok but it still didn't have the bass i wanted. I have been looking at the ThunderForm for a while now. So sunday night i ordered one from Crutchfield. It came the following Wednesday and I had it in that night! Perfect! Sounds awsome inside but can't really be heard outside. So far that has been the extent of my mods. I'll give ya guys a lil break down!
1995 Explorer Sprort w/60,000 miles- $8500
3 rolls of 20% Wal-Mart Tint $30
3rd brake Light Cover $35
Cargo Cover $60
Ventvisors(2 sets, broke one set!) $60
4 Jensen 6X8 Speakers(Wal-Mart) $85

Plan do do an intake and exhaust in the future and other stuff. I'm open for any kind of ideas and as soon as i figure out how to post pics i will(lil help needed!)
