too much heat from under the steering wheel

i have a 99 sport. whenever we drive for awhile the part where all the pedals are heats up. i dont know why. maybe someone can shed some light on this problem. anyone got any ideas?

Maybe a cracked HVAC setup? Bad blend? Sounds like you're getting heat output from the floor vents somehow, or leaking warm air from the setup...

i have to move the climate control to hot because when its set to cold it heats up too much. would that have anything to do with it? do you think it might be a problem with the heads?
