I finally finished the mustang computer swap and the Baumann transmition control box instalation. It was very very very difficult to do and took a long time. I do not recomend it unless you have a lot of time on your hands. On the good side the car makes so much power and revs so much quicker I can't hook up on street tires unless I feather the gas pedel in first and second. The problem now is in the first week with my added power I think I broke the Positraction unit in the rear end. On turns the inside wheel tries to lock up and makes this god awful noise. As soon as I get this fixed I think I will be making another trip to the Dyno with the spray on this time and a hole bunch of timing added. Iwill post them when I dyno it again.

Just letting everybody know about one of the new features....If you look on the upper right hand corner you will see the "receive updates on this thread". It works just the same as posting....it will still send you emails like before...but will save bandwidth. :) Just to let you know.

Too much power? Is that really possible?!?!? Hum, well, as I waited for the bus tonight, i realized why I wanted a bad ass v-8....watchin a late 60's early 70's chevelle do a wicked fishtail!! Goo!

Too powerful? Is that like too RICH or a lady thats too BEAUTIFUL or too SMART?
 






Too much power is when you cant drive your truck because it keeps braking stuff. we expected it to brake the trans but not the rear end because we dont use slicks or any thing and we only drive it on the street. it leaves very hard i guess all the torque and weight just took its toll on the rear end. too much power is all so when you have to buy a daily drive to replace your other daily drive because the gas milege sucks and you need to eco mize do to gas prices. The Troll is a little to racey now that is why he says it has to much power. we say it cant be a bad thing but it is very possible you just have to be there to belive it.

When swapping over to the mustang computer, what all did you have to do? I assume you used one from a 94-95 5.0 with the AOD-E tranny. Is that correct? Did you have to change out all the sensors?

How much of a power improvement is the Mustang computer worth on a near stock engine? I have some experience with mustang fuel injection swaps, that's why I ask. I wanted to swap in the mustang computer and a B303 cam, but I dont know if it would be worth it.
 






it was not a easy swap and we did not use a 94-95 harness because those year mustang computer are not nearly as good as the 93 and early one's. although you could use a 95 computer and harness but i would then use a Pro-m harness conversion to a 93 computer. we used a baumann TCS controll box so we could have the best of both worlds a good trans computer that would do what we wanted and a good engine computer for max power. you would only pic up a little bit with a 95 conversion and a b-cam. i would go for a e-cam and use a 93 computer no matter what you do but use it. none of the sensors worked we had to get new one and a new mass air as well.
 






i assume that y'all will be making a new video of the future trip to the dyno? please, please, please!!! i have shown your old video to a bunch of friends, and they can't believe that an explorer can make that kind of power. by the way, when you say the "gas mileage sucks" what kind of mileage numbers are we talking about?
