Took a hack saw to my muffler.

i believe the OP has 4 cats, and when my truck temporarily had just 4 cats, and nothing else, it actually wasn't that loud. the two downstream cats on these trucks are huge, and they expand the gas into a big chamber, and have a big section of honey comb, and it makes a pretty huge impact on sound.

with just the cats, it is still alot louder, but not nearly what you'd expect a mufflerless truck to sound like.

Just to clear everything up, When I thought I cut off the muffler, it was just the resonator. Now that I cut off the Muffler, I get the loud sound.
