Top of center stack too slippery!

Is it just me or does anyone else think the center tray on the top of the dash is useless because stuff just slides around?

Although i sold my 06 last month, i know what your talking about. To answer your question no i didn't think it was totaly useless. I could put my sunglasses up there and they never fell off. Seems to me you just might be driving a bit too fast. Lay off the right peddle a bit eh?

You could put a sticky mat thingy up there.

Yep they are slick as a peeled onion! I have thought about one of those rubber mat things up there.

Definitely too slick. I bought my 06' used and kinda assumed someone took the rubber mat out of it, and I would grab one from the JY, but I guess there wasn't one to be taken lol My 07' fusion had a removeable rubber insert in the dash console. Time to fab something I guess.

I was thinking if there was color matched 'Dip & Grip' or something like it I could paint maybe just the ridges with it.
Or get some of the ZAGG's invisishield and put it up there.

I used a all black pc mouse pad and cut it to fit (find one with a rubber bottom side). I used alittle hotglue and works great.

Pretty sad when you've got to upgrade to a single DIN stereo just to get some more storage area.

I feel the same. I don't understand why they had to make it so cumbersome to get your drink and what not. Oh well...
