Good morning. I've a 2005 Explorer with 160,000+ miles. Replaced engine with a 3rd party remanufactured, rebuilt the transmission and transfer case. New fluid lines and cooling coil. Picked up a remanufactured torque converter locally. I think my torque converter is out of balance as it makes the truck shake at 70+ MPH. And while in park with the RPMs at 3k. No shudder in any gear. The transmission shifts smoothly. I'll repeat that while in park and my wife's foot on the accelerator, the vibration is quite noticeable at 3k RPMs. Was under it watching and feeling the transmission and engine. The flex plate has no cracks. So I'm thinking that the torque converter needs to be replaced. I did notice something rattling in the torque converter, but thought nothing of it as I trusted the local transmission shop. Peace.
