I was washing my car today and noticed a lot of bumps, dents and dings in my '99 Explorer. There are a bunch of small nicks, scratches and dings on the side panels. None that you can see from say, 2ft..but if you look at vehicle closely they are visible. I need to get the gold trim touched up on the bumpers, wheel wells, and sides. Would anyone know what ball park that would cost me?
Also, my hood seems to be a dent magnet. I've got all kinds it seems. Anywhere from a big dent, several smaller ones, and a few that have been caused by something from the engine come up and make a bump on the hood. I have been talking with my dad about this and he thinks that it would be cheaper to buy a new hood and have it painted than to have all the dents removed. I think there are about 6 or 7 total. Now, would anyone know a ball park that a new hood, painted to my color scheme would run?
I know leaving it out in the open is just asking for trouble, but I have no choice. As I go to school a fair distance away and my university doesn't have a parking garage..could anyone hook me up with what they think a dollar amount would be to fix these two main issues? Thanks for your help.
