Towbars - UK

1997 Explorer 4.0 Standard
Having trouble finding a towbar in the UK.
Any pointers to suppliers or is my Explorer too old?
I've seen some for sale in the USA but I don't know how many bits I actually need, they don't seem to sell a full kit to install.

often times a hitch can be welded up, or afaik this has everything More Information for CURT 13033

Am I right in going for the 2" Ball; 2" Shank; 7,500 lbs.; 2" Drop hitch?

you can but these just take 5-6k depending on your gear ratio so 5k rating should be sufficient, but nothing wrong with a 7500. typically a 2" ball is used shank is 2" also. not sure about the drop, iirc on this one before the lift and with sag it may have been a 2" drop, best thing to do is measure it and see, or those adjustable ones are great too, in case you have multiple vehicles to tow with

The shank will be 3/4 or 1” in diameter. The shank might be 2 inches long, surely not wide.
