I am looking for a vehicle to tow behind my motorhome, but Remco says I will need a dealer neutral tow switch to tow the 2005 Explorer 4x4 that I am looking at. Any advice?

That sounds about right, I'm not sure what all is involved in the nuetral tow kit but it is just about what everyone has to do to tow one behind anything. Most trucks with a manual transfer case don't normally need the kit since they can just put the transfer case in nuetral.

If you have a 2wd, there is no kit available. If you have a 4door 4x4, you need part number 1L2Z-7H332-AB. If you have a SportTrac 4x4, you need a 3L2Z-7H332-AA. Any Ford dealer should be able to order and install the kit.

Or you will need a flatbed car hauler to tow it with all four wheels off the ground.

Good luck!
