Hello All..... Have an 2006 Explorer with 130,000 miles. I need to replace the tires and am questioning as to whether to replace the TPMS sensors. I can get all 4 on Ebay for $100 (new). Does anyone know the life span of the batteries of these OEM sensors? If 10 years, I might let it go. Thanks.....

Mine is 06, 156k miles, 4th set of tires, original sensors.

I have an '06 as well with 87k. I had one die about a year ago after 5.5 years which I waited to replace until I got new tires in December. I would honestly wait until they die since they're not critical. I think I read that the design was 5-7 years though.

My 06 has ~115Kmiles, and no problems with the sensors.

My thoughts in replacing them now, is that I don't want to dismount the tires again 6 months from now to replace a sensor.
