I have a 2004 Explorer just bought it about a week ago. Im having a problem with the TPMS light it just stays on. Tire pressure is fine on all the tires. And I dont think that year came with a TMPS on the spare tire. I found a reset procedure on the site so I have that a try. Not sure if im doing it correctly though. This is what I did.
Turn the key off to run 3 times press the brake
Turn the key off to run 3 times and the horn beeps and the tmps light blinks. So far so good im in learning mode. I go to the first tire front drivers side. Up put the magnet on the valve stem. The horn beeps once so that one is reconized. I then move to the front right tire put on the magnet and nothing happens. Does that mean that that sensor is the bad one? Or did I miss a step after I programed the first wheel? Also do I have to replace that sensor to test the rest of them or is there a way to bypass that wheel to test the rest of the sensors. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
