Be aware the 4.0 OHV and SOHC throttle position sensors appear identical but have opposite rotation.
You must feel slight spring tension when rotating the TPS to install. Are you throwing a p0122 DTC?

Replaced tps with new 2002 part and everything works fine. The tps now engages the throttle. The new 2002 tps rotates the opposite way of the 2003 tps. Thanks so very much for the reply. It corrected every issue I was having.
