tranny question

I have a 2000 explorer sport 2wd.
I have the opportunity to get a 91 XLT 4x4

THe bad thing is the 2000 has been wrecked and the 91 has a bad tranny.
So here goes.

Will the tranny in the 2000 fit in the 91. I know it will bolt up motor wise. I just want to know if it will screw the computer up. Hopefully it will work.
I miss driving my explorer.

Welcome to this forum! The 91 has an A4LD, and the 2000 has a 5R55E. The starters are different as well as the pocket in the bell housing. The bell housings are different too. You will need a wiring harness, computer, and possibly other things since the A4LD is a 4 speed, and the 5R55E is a 5 speed.

thanks i was just wondering i had a idea that it wouldnt work but i was hoping it would work. Im curently looking for a daily driver
