Thanks for taking the time to read this and help me out. I have been searching the website for a while and have not found what I think I am looking for. A while back my trans cooler ('98 SOHC sport 4x4 auto think its the 5r one) was torn off by some sand dunes and spit out lots of fluid. I unhooked the cooler from the trans and just connected both trans lines together to maintain the fluid it had. After this I had to drive out of the dune area and my friends gave me about 2 quarts to throw in which I did. well driving over to them with hardly any fluid which was a short ways and dumb of me the trans I could tell was at high RPMs and hardly moving so I got to them shut it off to let it cool off and put their fluid in my trans. I got a new trans cooler from the local auto parts stores and put it in and refilled the fluid. Now I have a problem with the trans. When shifting from park to drive or to nutral or revese (any combo) it is a bit hesitive to make the shift. the colder it is the longer it takes and to get it to shift after waiting for it for a good 15 seconds or so I give it soem gas(just a bit) and then it completes the shift. any ideas? I saw something about a TSB but would that be it?
