Trans Solenoid Blows EEC fuse

My trans was shifting fine, the car just shutoff going down the road, and had to tow it home. This was due to the blown fuse. With the help of this forum, I found the burnt solenoid, and "the rest is history".

It seems you may have other issues as well....

thats what i figured... this forum is a great help it's what has givin me the knowlege and the ability to be cmfortable doing alot fo the stuff i have done! im just on my hunt for my other issues... but atleast i found one, right?

hey im having a siilar issue with my 94 Ex. the eec fuse blew and i traced it to the plug where it goes into the trans... (its shorting internaly within the trans with the plug unplugged it works fine).... could this be a reason for not getting any forward gears?

Probably not. The electronics in this transmission are only for the 3-4 shift and TCC lockup, which means the only affect is at higher speeds. 1, 2, 3, and R engagement are purely hydraulic/mechanical. If you don't have any forward gears, there's something wrong internally.

well im only tearing as deep as the vb... gonna wait until get gaskets and such before i tear into it but i read somewhere someone had a similar issue and it was all because or a gasket material or a metal chip/shaving getting in the vb... so lets hope that is where my issue lays... if not its onto the look for another used a4ld.. but i will keep you guys posted just for someone else possible future reference/ here is a link to the thread im starting regarding this journey im on
