Ok new to the forum but was pointed here for help on my daily drive. Here is the problem...
I want as many ideas as I can get. My explorer (93 auto) needed a trans service, though I can do that so I did. Long story short, I sheered a bolt in the housing and it took a long time to get free. The car was on jackstands for like 2 months due to my lack of free time and other projects needing finished. Got it all buttoned up today (2AM) and everything seamed to work properly. The only thing I did not do was to let the tires spin on the jackstands. Put it on the ground and now it will not engage in gear, any gear. What did I do here? Thinking that maybe the new filter is not in properly but not really sure and don't want to drop the pan again if can be avoided. Sorry that my first post is a cry for help but I promise I will be better productive later.
