I am hoping someone out there can help me. I have a 2000 Explorer, the problem I had was that it would only go into 4 low once in a while. I ordered a shift motor for the transfer case, but the one that came has 7 pins in the plug. I have 14 pins on mine and I also have 2 pigtails coming off of the wiring harness on the motor to the transfer case that the one I ordered didn't have. I took the motor back to the parts store, I gave them the VIN number and they are searching for the correct part. It is a Borg Warner transfer case (not sure if they all had them). Has anyone had to change one of these before? Any useful tips?
Thanks

Thank you very much for the information! Now I need to go back to the parts store and get the one I returned
