Hi.
Well I haven't been in this forum too much (making threads) but i did read about all your stuff - you all are pretty smart guys and I hope you can help me out with my problem :).

Well I have a problem with my transmission. I have the check engine light on and sometimes my o/d blinks, and i have this obd 2 code: p0756: shift solenoid B performance or stuck off.

Is it hard to replace those solenoids?? Like how much will be to replace them??? I just had a transmission flush and the transmision seems to work and feel better.

I also have my abs light on and I read that the abs might be causing the solenoid problem but im not sure. I'm not a real mechanic and I don't have alot of experience, I'm a begiiner, could i replace the solenoids by myself??? Is it necessary to remove the transmision???

I have another question - the valve body of the transmission, is it inside or outside and is it easy to reach it?? I saw this product that includes the solenoids already. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD...3QQihZ008QQcategoryZ33727QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

or is it just the ABS light that is causing all this problem???

I hope you can help me out, thanks in advance.

Your shift solenoid code likely is a shift solenoid. I had to have 2 of them replaced in my last truck. The truck wasn't shifting correctly before they were replaced. The valve body is in the transmission, but just under the pan. It's something that can be done with limited tools. Be prepared to get messy! At the very least you will get a fresh filter and some fluid.

Last question - do I need 2 solenoids or just one???

You one need the one (twin) solenoid block that I posted a link to in my first reply. The amateur's favorite auto parts places like Pep Boys, Kragen, Checkers, etc do not sell transmission parts beyond some basic easily replaced external ones (modulators, for example). My advice is simple - Click on the link I gave you and order it there.

And yes at the same time order that filter.

Alright, thanks man. I am going to do that. Please let me know if it is going to be fine, or should I consider letting a shop do this for me. If I took it to a shop, what do you think they would charge me to do this work?

You should be fine. If your thinking you should take it to a shop, I won't tell you not to, by any means. Buy the parts, call a shop and ask for a quote to install them. Should be about an hour or so of shop time. Under $100.

i ordered everything and it already came out and the pieces or filter doesnt fit i think i dont have that 4r70w transmission

Easy to find out.

V6= 4R55E
V8= 4R70W

What is the trans doing other than throwing codes ????
