Anyone know how much it would cost to have my top transmission cooling line replaced? It is the return line...thanks!

It is the feed line. That is all I know.

Can it be spliced?

You are talking the metal line right? You can buy a straight 5' one from pep boys or napa for around $6. Call up a plumber friend and borrow his tubing bender and make your own.

Yes, you can connect two pieces of tubing together. Have a Parker Hose or tractor shop around your area? I spliced a metal A/C line with a compression fitting.

My 67 Galixie wore a hole in the transmission line. I just cut it at the leak, sliped on a section of hose, and used four hose clamps. Jus fix the bad spot. If it is at an end, just buy a threaded hose barb end and run a section of hose.

I cut the end off so that it is nice and neat. Is it possible to flare the end of it while it is still connected? Does it take alot of room to flare the tubing?

double post, dude you already have another thread on this.

I use rubber cooling lines on my truck. I cut the ends off the metal lines, flared them with a flare tool, and ran rubber lines from the tranny to the radiator and cooler.
Simple, but you need a flare tool, otherwise you need 2 or more hose clamps.
