so my transmission is screwing up, or the torque converter, im trying to find out which.
everytime i go into a gear i gotta rev it up and then it kicks into gear, and whenever i stop, i have to do the same thing, rev it up and then it kicks into gear. would this be the torque converter? its also leaking fluid from the bellhousing.

...I am going to take a guess since you haven't mentioned engine or tranny type, I would say you have an A4ld tranny....There is a lot of info in the tranny section on these trannys...;)

...Depending on how long you have kept driving with the leaking front seal and low fluid may depend on how long you have before you have to rebuild it...:(

...This may be worth reading for a start..:dunno:

I just realized that this thread is in the wrong section, and moved it to the transmission section. As far as the front bushing, there are only two places that I'm aware of that could machine it for you. You will have to send it out if the bushing needs to be replaced.

wouldnt it just be cheaper to buy a used tranny? could it be the torque converter? or would a bad torque converter not cause these problems?
ill have to get under there this weekend and pull the tranny out and see.
