Transmission indicatior help

About 2 weeks ago i removed the cluster (Speedometer, gas gauge, exc.) and I accidentally messed up the transmission indicator. For example, when in reverse it shows in neutral and when in drive it shows in 2nd. Help needed please.

If you look up unserneath-you should see the string which pulls the needle-
there is a little adjusting wheel on a threaded post which the string runs through--
