I had a transmission leak and i got it fixed. The mechanic replaced the transmission filter and fluid. I got it back two days ago and it still leaks. Someone told me if the guy put to much tranny fluid in it, it will leak until it reaches normal level. Is this true? Could it be the pan gasket because that is where it is leaking from?

P.S. Its a 2000 X

So am I reading this right?

You had a leak from the trans pan. You sent the truck to a shop and had the gasket replaced. It is still leaking and appears to be leaking at the pan gasket.

If so, it is entirely possible that something didn't go right with the gasket replacement. I think you should take it back for them to look at it.

I dont think he replaced the gasket but the filter which is inside the pan after you take it off. And yes it was leaking from the pan.
