Transmission Mystery...

I put a 2001 3.0 auto transmission in a 2000. Only difference I saw was two small sensors on the side/back of the trans which I didn't hook up because my harness didn't have the hookups. Now, the speedometer doesn't work below 55 mph and it seems to run rough and the OD light is flashing. (Here's the kicker) Once you reach 55+, the truck smooths out, the speedo works correctly and the OD light goes out and the OD works fine. Drop below 55 and it goes crazy again. Any thoughts?? P0500. Looking online, I see that has to do with the speed sensor. I assumed it was in the trans. However, according to other info I just read, it could do with the brake system (expecially since the abs light is on) correct? Any ideas as to what to look for 1st? Thanks,
