Ok, 2002 explorer XLT.

I bought it with 106000 on it and now have 113k. It has always shirted rough. but I have noticed something...If I keep the RPM's around 3-3500 during each gear it shifts perfect...anything lower it seems as though it dosent shift at the right time or misses when it should. It dosent really act that bad or sound that bad.

My question is, can this be addressed with a computer upgrade to either the Tranny or the main? could this be the beginning of the "Failure" that seems to happen with this year model? would changing the fluid and flush help?

lots of questions, no real answers yet.

Tom
